I've been getting some questions regarding my commission status-- not a ton, but enough that I'll put this out there: In a nutshell, I'm not openly accepting commissions for the time being. There are multiple reasons why I have avoided advertising commissions, but most of it revolves around the fact that, in conjunction with not having a scanner, I have other things that demand my attention and my schedule is sporadic at best.

However, if you are still interested, or have any questions feel free to drop me a note on dA or shoot an e-mail to portraits AT binkerville.com with your character information, and any other ideas you have in mind. I'm also available on Furcadia as either Binkari or Elytaine.

For the record, here's a rough breakdown of pricing:

Furcadia portraits (remap and nonremap) -- $35+
Single character, full-body color -- $60+
Single character sketches -- $30

Payment is done via PayPal, and due after initial rough sketches have been approved. If I am accepting some other form of currency (WINKY WINKY), I will let you know.

If there comes a time where I am available to work on something, I will contact you first to see if you're still interested, and we can take it from there. I won't be working on a first-come-first-serve basis, and will pick commissions that strike me as interesting.

Additional stuff no one really cares about

• How long does it take to finish a commission?
  Generally speaking, a week or so, but a large part of the timetable depends on the commissioner's response time as well. I usually wait until I'm feeling extra-motivated before contacting clients because I know I don't really like waiting for things, so I can assume that other people don't like waiting for things either! There are at least two replies you need to make before I can complete a commission: the go-ahead to start the commission and then rough sketch approval. The faster you respond, the faster I can get the finished product to you!


• What do I get? For portraits and character paintings, you'll get a small series of thumbnail sketches (ranging from 2-5, depending on the case) that aren't really worth beans, a refined sketch for approval, and the final product. Nonremap portraits also get a larger version of the original painting used to make the portrait.


• Am I allowed to resell the picture? Short answer: no. Long answer: I still own the rights to the picture (but not the character). You're free to use the picture for personal websites, but nothing that would generate income. Also, please credit me!


• Someone stole my portrait! Can you help? People don't steal my portraits, I steal people. But in case I do fail to kidnap art thieves (rope restocking), I can usually provide you with the original sketch upon request...assuming the portrait was made at a reasonably recent date and I didn't brainfart and save over it. I probably don't have anything from 3 years ago. With that in mind, I strongly suggest that you save any sketches/progress pictures I send you in case you need to prove that you're the original commissioner.
